June 4-7th = Texas Junior Angus State Show, Bell County Expo Center Belton, TX

Hope everyone is having a Happy Holiday’s! As January is reaching up quickly, wanted to remind the juniors that membership application are due beginning January 1 (our membership runs Jan 1 to Dec 31 of the respective year). It would awesome if everyone could get those memberships paid before our meeting during the Ft. Worth heifer show, but we understand that not everyone can do that….so send in those dues and make sure to see that the membership cost as increased for 2018 year. If you have any questions, comments or concerns don’t hesitate to ask.

DUE by January 2, 2020

The officers of this Association shall be elected by ballot or show of hands at the meeting of the Texas Junior Angus Association held in association with the annual Fort Worth livestock show. The candidate must fill out an application posted on the Texas Junior Angus Association website. The application must be postmarked by January 2 to the vice president. Officers shall be elected for a term of one (1) year, or until their successors are elected and qualified and assume the duties of their office at the closing of the annual Fort Worth banquet. To be an officer you must have served as a director for one (1) year and be at least in the 8th grade or of high levels for any officer position. Officer positions of President, 1st Vice President, and 2nd Vice President candidates should have received their National Jr. Angus Association Bronze & Silver Awards prior to elections.

The advisors will be elected for a term of three (3) years, with one (1) new advisor/advisor couple elected per year. The advisors shall agree among themselves who will serve as lead advisors. Those interested in running for advisor must fill out an application posted on the Texas Junior Angus Association website. The application must be postmarked by January 2 to designated advisor. Nominees will be voted on by the junior members at the same meeting where the officers and directors are elected.

Must be 15 and older as of January 1st to participate in the Media Team. Must have interests in photography, videography, social media and graphic design.

Applications must be post marked and submitted by March 4th.

Rules and Regulations

You will be expected to work through out the year but especially during the state show. If you have cattle to show that will be fine. You will be expected to take pictures, take video spotlights, and to learn how to edit both of these things. You will have to help make social media posts and if anything is inappropriate you will be immediately dismissed from the media team.
