The deadline for Texas Angus Auxiliary Scholarships for graduating high school seniors is April 1, 2022. The application is the same as that used for the American Angus Auxiliary Scholarships and is available at, where interested TJAA members may download the application, access directions and general information. Submitting your completed application to Texas Angus Auxiliary is the first step in applying for the American Angus Auxiliary scholarship. This allows us time to select our girl and boy applicants and make changes/updates, if needed, to the application prior to the national deadline. The application must be signed by the Texas chairperson and cannot be submitted directly by the junior applicant without the signature. Any application that is not submitted to the Texas Angus Auxiliary scholarship chairperson by the Texas deadline will not be forwarded for the national competition.

Please note: (1) Texas Angus Auxiliary requires the parent/legal guardian of the applicant to be a member of the Texas Angus Auxiliary for two years prior to the application year, and (2) the applicant must have received their Bronze and Silver awards prior to applying for the scholarship.

No later than the April 1, 2022, deadline, one original, printed copy of the completed application must be mailed to Barbara Ettredge, 1001 Berend Rd., Pilot Point, TX 76258, AND an electronic copy of the completed application must be emailed to; please put “TAAux Scholarship Application” in the subject line of the email.

Wolf Family Scholarship

The Wolf Family began showing Angus Cattle with their son, Derek Wolf. Because of the positive impact the TJAA made in Derek’s life, he and his parents decided to give back to the TJAA through a scholarship for graduating seniors. The scholarship offers $1000 to a current TJAA member who is planning to attend college or technical school in the fall. Applications are available on the TJAA website: and are due May 15,2021.
